Though a building was lost to fire, the home in front of it was saved Monday afternoon.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – It’s been a busy day for the La Follette Fire Department’s C Shift, and it’s not even half over. At 10am, LFD responded to a house fire on Lakeshore Lane. In the 4pm hour, firefighters knocked down a building fire on North 27th Street. The building was fully involved as LFD units rolled up.

The good sized out building was located about 10-feet behind a mobile home in the 500 block near the mountain. The home was saved and no one was injured. “The lady of the house was over joyed that the bird nest on the back porch was saved,” said LFD Chief Jimmy Pack.

La Follette Fire Department’s C Shift battled it second big fire of the day.

Along with the LFD, La Follette Police and the Campbell County EMS responded.
