LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Mayors Mike Stanfield (La Follette) and E.L. Morton (Campbell County) were sent a letter from TDOT Transportation Manager Chasity Bell giving the city and county permission to proceed with the new Dossett Lane Bridge (Bert Loupe Bridge).

A portion of the letter reads “attached for your files is a copy of the fully executed Amendment 3 regarding funding for the referenced project. You may now proceed with the development of the project.”

The new bridge will span the CSX railroad connecting Dossett Lane with Memorial Drive and the Tommy C. Stiner Airfield. The lane has been without a bridge since the 1970s. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/27/2021-11:30AM)
