LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The second annual Campbell County Shows Off Festival is set for Saturday June 5, 10:15am, in downtown LaFollette. Admission to the festival is free.

Organizer Sharon Chapman said the festival will feature music, arts, crafts, food and much more. Local businesses and non profit organizations will also be at the event.

The first festival took place in 2019 and was started by Chapman as a way to “show off area talent and provide something for the young people to do.”

“There’s a lot of talent in our county, but a lot of people just don’t know where to start; I’m hoping this provides an outlet for that,” Chapman said.

Chapman said musicians, bands, individual artists (aside from music) will take to the downtown La Follette stage beginning at 10:15 am Saturday, June 5. This year, there will also be a smaller secondary stage for performances. This stage is for anyone who wants to perform, but may not be comfortable performing on the main stage, according to Chapman.

Currently she has two out of state performers booked for the main stage, as well as multiple local talent. If interested in performing at this year’s festival, contact Chapman.

The event will be held in the parking lot behind the police station. It runs from 10 am until the final performance finishes at 9 pm.

Vendors are welcome to set up for a $25 fee. Vendors are encouraged to register in advance and pay on the day of the event. These vendors will also “show off” their talent whether it be baked goods, wooden furniture, crafts, just about anything they want to display, according to Chapman. All businesses, organizations and non-profit are also encouraged to set up. Vendors are asked to have everything set up and ready for festival goers by 9:30 a.m.

It’s Chapman’s hope that this event will again shine a positive light on the community and help others “follow  and work their own dreams.”
