Gordon Lee Rector, age 83, of Jacksboro passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville KY. He was of the Baptist faith and a U.S. Army Veteran. Born on February 7, 1938, to Dewey & Sinda Meredith Rector. Gordon graduated from LaFollette High School, Class of 1957. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army and served from 1961 until 1963 and in the Reserves until 1967 where he was honorably discharged. He was preceded in death by infant daughter: Tina, Parents: Dewey & Sinda Rector, Brother: Harold, Sisters: Mildred & Pauline.

Family will receive friends Friday, 5-7 PM at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with service following at 7 PM Cross-Smith Chapel, his nephew Rev Jimmy Rector officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Saturday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Meredith Cemetery for 11 AM interment with full Military Honors given by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
