LaFollette passes budget without any fee or property tax increases

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Yesterday afternoon, the City of LaFollette met in adjourned session to finish up the yearly budget.

The mayor and council members had three items to vote on in the meeting; Resolution 2021-06 adding revenue and expenditures from the CDBG-Water and Sewer Grant to the 2020-21 budget and Resolution 2021-07 amending the 2020-21 budget were passed.

Ordinance 2021-03 approving the 2021-22 budget was passed. The 2021-22 budget totals $18,001,863, last year’s budget was $17,047,917. Interim City Administrator Stan Foust told council that the balanced budget was done without any fee or property tax increases. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/25/2021-6AM)
