LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A young Campbell County man is dead following a wreck between a motorcycle and a compact utility vehicle.

Central Dispatch confirms that the call of the accident came in at 5:06pm Sunday afternoon.

The mishap occurred in the bend of the road on Long Hollow Road just down from Cave Springs Road in south La Follette not far from Long Hollow Baptist Church.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating and identifies the man on the motorcycle as 23-year old Timothy “Shane” Lewis, Jr., of La Follette. The report reveals that Lewis was negotiating a curve on Long Hollow Road and crossed the center line striking another vehicle, a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer. The Chevy was driven by 39-year old Bessie Chadwell of Burlington, Kentucky, and came to an uncontrolled final rest at the area of impact.
