Jack Leach had a most impressive day on the golf course on Thursday.

KNOXVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Though Campbell County Cougar Jack Leach ended up getting beat on the final hole on Thursday afternoon at Three Ridges Golf Course, he logged a most impressive day of golf.

Going up against the best of the best Tennessee has to offer, the senior-to-be played three solid rounds of par golf to finish among the final eight of a field of 26. The day’s highlight was defeating the top seed of The Tri-Star Boys Championship Match Play Bracket, Carson Kammann.

“With this being my first match play event and beating the number one ranked junior golfer in the state (Kammann), I definitely built a lot of confidence heading into future tournaments,” said Leach.

Jack Leach will be senior this year at Campbell High.

“It is always a pleasure to represent Campbell County on and off the course,” added Leach. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/02/2021-6AM)
