JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – A home on Vinsant Estates Drive was the center of attention in the predawn hours of Monday, June 28. A couple of Campbell County Deputies responded to a noise complaint where loud music and gun shots were reported.

Deputy Will Collins encountered 36-year- old Stephanie Marie Emala at the cream colored home at 157 Vinsant Estates Drive around 4 am. Emala came out of the house screaming and cursing, according to Collins’ report. The deputy asked Emala several times to calm down. She did not comply and was arrested.

In the meantime, Deputy Joseph Weaver was talking with a man at the same address who refused to identify himself as he screamed and cursed at Weaver based on the report from the sheriff’s office. The man allegedly shouted “You can’t be here.” He was identified as 37-year old Kristofor Alan Emala.

Weaver said he detained Kris Emala and placed him in the back of his cruiser. Emala then kicked out the back passenger side window and attempted to jump out of the window and flee, according to Weaver’s narrative. The deputy locked Emala’s safety belt in place and transported him to the Campbell County Jail.
