JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Administrator of Elections Ann Ayers announced her retirement in June, and the search for her replacement has begun. Ayers has served for more than 10 years and is leaving by the end of July.

“We’ll have applications available for pick-up at the election commission office,” said Jamie Ball, chairman of the Campbell County Election Commission.

The personable Ann Ayers is calling it a career later this month.

Ball has officially announced that the Campbell County Election Commission is taking applications for the office of administrator of elections. Interested applicants must pick up their application at the election commission office at 129 Church Alley in Jacksboro. “Applications must be mailed to Jamie Mundy Ball, Chairman of the Campbell County Election Commission, at P.O. Box 202, La Follette, Tennessee 37766, and be received by 5pm on Monday, July 12, 2021, Applications arriving after the deadline will be returned to the sender,” said Ball.

The Campbell County Election Commission considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, sex, or any other legally protected characteristic.
