Sampson “Sam” Jordan, age 78 of Jacksboro, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at his home. He was born on November 18, 1942, to the late Oliver Jordan and Kansas (Lowe) Jordan. Sam enjoyed fishing, working, and tinkering on boats and dozers. He was also of the Baptist faith and enjoyed going to Mt. Paran Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Wanda Jordan; grandson Kenny Dewayne Jordan; brothers Charles Jordan and James L. Jordan; and sister Blanche Jean Jordan.

He is survived by his sons; Richard Jordan and fiancé Priscilla Lowry of Jacksboro, David Jordan and wife Ashlie of Jacksboro, and Charles Ken Jordan of Oneida; brother Cliff Jordan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends and family will meet at 11:00 AM on Monday July 12, 2021, for a graveside service at Mt. Paran Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Vanover officiating.
