JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Will Collins heard screaming coming from a home on Wolf Hollow Lane as soon as he pulled in the driveway.

Last Sunday morning soon after midnight, Collins heard someone screaming “hurry, he’s trying to choke her.” Once inside the home, Deputy Collins ordered 23-year- old Christopher Ivey to get on the floor, and Ivey did not comply as he began resisting and kicking based on the CCSO narrative. Collins and other deputies were finally able to restrain Ivey.

The victim told Collins that Ivey showed up at her home screaming when she opened the door. The woman explained to the deputy that Ivey pushed past her and started choking her screaming that “there was snakes everywhere.”

Ivey was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest. He is due in court later this month. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/15/2021-6AM)
