LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A medical call came into central dispatch on Thursday that alleged Brian Keith Smith had possibly been bitten by a snake. Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Fox responded to the home on Demory Rd and spoke with Smith.

Fox checked the man but did not see any visible marks on the man. Smith allegedly admitted to backing up into a shelf, according to a report from the sheriff’s department. Campbell County EMS arrived on the scene, assessed Smith and did not see any visible marks indicative of a snake bite either.

Smith had called 911 twice on July 19 in reference to a person he believed to be missing and stated that he could hear her in the well on his property. Fox spoke with Sgt. Tosha Tackett who stated that the neighbors allowed her into their home to search and there was no one there. Tackett then found out the missing person was Smith’s ex-girlfriend who had moved out.

Smith called 911 on July 21 stating he saw people walking around his property. However, after investigating nothing was found on the property, according to the report.
