Stan Foust was voted by council on Tuesday afternoon to become the permanent city administrator. However, it is a dual role position as he will also continue as La Follette’s City Clerk.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – At Monday afternoon’s City of LaFollette Council meeting, Councilman Wayne Kitts made the motion to hire Stan Foust as full-time city administrator with a salary of $67,074.80.

Foust will receive an additional $5,000 in compensation for city clerk duties. In other personnel matters, Brad Young was promoted to lieutenant in the fire department with a salary of $35,540.27, and Danny Benge was moved from the public works department to recreation department.

The council approved a list of surplus items to be sold on Govdeals.com. The items on the list are a 2011 Massey Ferguson 5455 Tractor, 2009 Ford F-150 4X4, four salt spreaders from the public works department, a 2001 Toyota Extended Cab truck and a 2004 GMC Extended Cab 4wd truck from the police department, three portable radios, three chargers, two mobile radios, one video camera, one printer and a clothes washer.

Resolution 2021-10 capital outlay note for the $192,000 excavator purchase

Resolution 2021-11 amending the 2021-22 budget were all approved.  

Ordinance 2021-09 amending Title 17 adding chapters I, II and III back to the refuse section had its final reading. Ordinance 2021-10 amending the zoning map for the City of LaFollette, North Indiana Avenue had a first, and Ordinance 2021-11 amending personnel policy (FMLA), this will require employees to use sick and vacation time while off on leave, had its final reading.
