JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Jacksboro Police Sgt. Franklin Ayers was recognized by the state as DUI Officer of the Year by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.

In honor of that recognition and to congratulate him, the Tennessee House of Representatives sent Ayers a proclamation thanking him for his services to the community.

Part of that proclamation states “Jacksboro & the State of Tennessee are undoubtedly better places to live because of the service of Franklin Ayers.”

Jacksboro Police Chief Jeremy Goins said he and the rest of the department are “proud and honored” to work alongside Ayers for his efforts in making “our community a safer and brighter place to live because of your selfless service.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/06/2021-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF THE JACKSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT)
