LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County was well represented last month at The Bass Federation’s (TBF) Tennessee Junior State Championship on the Mississippi River in Rapid City, Illinois. The Campbell County Middle School teams of Anthony and Ayden Malone along with Mason Dople and Gabe St. John competed. The Dople-St. John team was there for a third straight year.

A great big thank you from the teams goes out to family, friends and businesses. It was a team effort by the community to send the middle schoolers to the championship. “Our families, friends and businesses paid for the whole trip, and we’re very grateful. It means so much to have this support,” said Chris Malone, Anthony Malone’s father.

Mike King and Jerry Fox organized a benefit fishing tournament to raise funds for the trip as well. Thanks are extended to King and Fox and all those who participated in the tourney.

In the 2021 Ranger Z-520 provided by Norris Lake Boat Center are Ayden Malone and Anthony Malone on the Mississippi River in the The Bass Federation’s (TBF) Tennessee Junior State Championship.

“Anthony and I extend a great big thank you to Norris Lake Boat Center,” said Ayden Malone. Mark and Linda Proffitt with Norris Lake Boat Center provided a new top of the line 2021 Ranger Z-520 for the Malone cousins to use.
