John Henry Fuston, age 80, of the Sukey Hollow Community of Whitley County, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday morning, August 10, 2021, at Baptist Health Corbin.

John Henry was born on June 8, 1941 to the late Johnny Fuston and Mary (Parrott) Fuston in Whitley County, KY.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Virgil Fuston; three sisters, Shirley Knuckles, Dianne Wheeler, and Betty Anderson; and one brother, Freddy Fuston.

He is survived by two sons, Freddie Hyslope, and Beverly, of Lenore, North Carolina, and John Bruce, of Jellico, Tennessee; two daughters, Marie Hoover, of Williamsburg, KY, and Mary Fuston; 11 grandchildren, Jacob Church, Freddie Church, Rachel Church, William Church, Johnny Church, Nickolas Church, Robbie Church, Tucker Hyslope, Sebastian Hyslope, Quentin Hyslope, and Penny Smith.

John is also survived by 11 sisters and brothers, Joann Cox, Charles Fuston, Homer Fuston, Juanita Williams, Howard Fuston, Wanda Johnson, Rose Morris, Haley Fannin, Donna Stead, Margaret Burrows, and Virgie Metts; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends, neighbors, and other relatives to mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday morning, August 14, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will immediately follow on Saturday afternoon, August 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Morgan officiating.

Interment will follow in the Fuston Family Cemetery located in the Sukey Hollow Community of Whitley County, KY.

Cox & Son Funeral Home of Jellico is in charge of all arrangements.
