DUFF, TN (WLAF) – Last Friday afternoon, Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Christopher West passed a car on Hwy 90 and noticed the front seat passenger was not wearing a seatbelt. That violation prompted a traffic stop.

West pulled over Laura Leach in the parking lot of Smokies Market, and Leach gave the deputy permission to search her personal belongings. He allegedly found a rock-like substance inside a small clear bag. Leach allegedly told West that it was Heroin, according to the report from the sheriff’s department.

Leach was charged and arrested for possession of a schedule I controlled substance. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/18/2021-6AM)
