Father, brother, son Adam Baird was last seen in March 2019, and his family is offering a reward for information on his whereabouts.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – “I have cried so much. The stories floating around have been unbearable and cruel in a lot of ways,” said Belinda Powell, sister of missing person Adam Baird. Baird’s disappearance remains a mystery, and his family has no answers and no closure.

Powell, continues to carry what is becoming an increasingly heavier torch. Though her plea for someone to come forward with information has not wavered since her brother, then 33, went missing on March 31, 2019.

After all this time, why now for a reward? “We were asked not to do the reward earlier because of all the leads that the police wanted to check first to see if they went anywhere. They didn’t, and after talking to investigators, we thought the reward could rekindle the case,” said Powell.

Word of a $2,000 reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Baird surfaced on Monday evening. By Wednesday, the purse had doubled to $4,000.

On April 3 2019, the search for Adam Baird intensified by deploying the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team and K-9 division to the Big Four Rd. area. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the La Follette Rescue Squad, Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Aviation unit.

Anyone with information to report on the Adam Baird case, is encouraged to call the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 423.566.3784. People can leave a message while remaining anonymous.

Family members, including Powell and her husband John, have contributed to the reward. Baird’s parents, Ed and Brenda, along with brothers Cody, and wife Josie, and Levi plus Aunt Bren and family friend Donna have donated. Levi’s employer pushed the total to $4,000 yesterday.

Adam Baird was 33-years- old at the time of his disappearance.

“We feel stuck and lost, and we pray for answers so we could lay him to rest the right way and to also know if he really is gone.  My heart will never fully heal, but closure will stop all the horrible thoughts and hopefully the truth will be revealed,” said Powell.  “I wish this pain on no one,” she said.

This is the 12th story WLAF has featured on Adam Baird since April 2019.  The other 11 stories can be accessed using Adam Baird’s name.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/17/2021-6AM-REPUBLISHED 08/25/2021-6AM))
