JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – It’s official, the Campbell Football team will be off this week. After it was announced on Monday that the Sept. 3 region game at Lenoir City was canceled, fans held out hope that CCHS would find an opponent and play Friday night. Finding a replacement opponent did not work out.
With the cancellation, Campbell moves to 3 & 0 and then 1 & 0 in the Region 3-5A. The next scheduled game is Friday, September 10, at Burke-Toney Stadium against the Morristown East Hurricanes.
The question was posed on Wednesday of is there a possibility of scheduling a game during Campbell’s bye week on October 15? Director of Athletics Matt Price responded “that could be a possibility, but, as of now, we are going to take it week-by-week.
