John “Dinky” Shears, age 47 of LaFollette

Mr. John “Dinky” Shears, age 47 of LaFollette passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021.  He was a devoted Father and a very hard worker.  Dinky enjoyed working on and restoring old cars, fishing, collecting knives, loved animals, drawing, and trading with others.  Preceded in death by Parents, John Cecil “Johnny” Shears and Patricia Sue Walker Shears ;Grandparents, Loretta Walker and John Richard Walker, and Lula Shears and William Harrison Shears.

Survivors:  Wife, Tamela Byrge Shears; Daughters, Shelby Sue Marie Shears (Ellison) and Johnna Elizabeth Grace Shears (Ellison); Son, Johnathon Shears (Peavley) and wife, Melissa; Grandchildren, Jaidin Peavley and Bella Peavley; Brothers, Billy John Walker and wife, Lisa, Tommy Ray Shears and wife, Amy, John Michael Shears, and Kermit Comer, Jr.; Sister, Angela Comer and Roy; Stepdad, Kermit Comer, Sr.; special trading buddy, Steve Slover and special friend, Jimmy Mynatt.  Several Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services 3:00 P.M. Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Russell officiating.  Interment to follow at Queener Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 P. M. before Services.
