CORBIN, KY (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Mark your calendars for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1 and 2 and get your stockpile ready. It’s the Boone Way Yard Sale. It will crawl almost 200 miles through all the little towns and hamlets along US 25W from Corbin in Knox, Laurel and Whitley Counties to Richwood in Boone County, Kentucky.

Born of the 2020 reschedule of the US 25W Yard Sale due to COVID-19, the Boone Way Yard Sale covers the same route, but only lasts two days.   Organizers hope that going to a two-day event will marry the sellers with the shoppers better and make for a better event for both groups. We also hope for some cooler, nicer weather.

School teams, clubs and church groups have discovered these events provide them with an outreach opportunity and a chance to make some much needed funding as well.

How does one participate?  Price your items for sale at a reasonable price, find a good location along US 25W and have extra bold and visible signage.  Having both really means success.  Make sure you have permission to set up, set up safely, prepare for some wind and have a great time.

Join and share all over, our Facebook page at Boone Way Yard Sale (facebook.com) and visit our website. You can call 859-779-3005 for more general info on the event.

Plan now, find a special spot along US 25W, the Boone Way, and get started making some money. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/09/2021-6AM)
