William Ray “Bill” Adkins, age 90, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021.  He served as a second lieutenant in the United States Airforce as a pilot during the Korean War.  He retired from General Electric after 30 years of service, after retiring from GE he along with several friends created Neotek an engineering firm providing support to government contractors. He was a member of Jacksboro Masonic Lodge.  He was preceded in death by Parents: Gordon and Belva Gaylor Adkins, Sisters: Mabel McBee, Alice Marlowe, Brothers: Kenneth and E. L. Adkins and Daughter: Karen Thomas. 

Survivors:

Wife of 67 years: Charolette Blankenship Adkins

Daughters:  Brenda Brashear, Patti Preston (Kevin)

6 Grandchildren

4 Great-Grandchildren

2 Great-Great Grandsons

Brother:  Homer D. Adkins

Numerous nieces and nephews

Family will receive friends 1-2 PM, Thursday, September 23, Cross-Smith Chapel with service following at 2 PM.  Interment following in Campbell Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by Campbell County Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to Salvation Army.

    So very sorry to hear of Bill’s sudden passing. Enjoyed time spent with both you and Bill in the HGEPA get togethers. Will keep you in my prayers.
