LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – In the predawn darkness of Wednesday morning, the La Follette Police Narcotics Unit and Special Response Team executed a narcotics search warrant at apartment 211 at 507 East Central Avenue.

“Bryan McCarty is our main target here. Our investigators have been making meth buys out of this apartment for a couple of months, and that led to this search warrant,” said LPD Captain Steve Wallen.

Ambreia Meadows (left) and Bryan McCarty were detained and then later arrested by La Follette Police on Wednesday morning.

Ambreia Meadows was also at the home. LPD Detective/Sgt. Matthew Forsyth told McCarty and Meadows that they were only being detained and read them their rights. McCarty declined to talk though Meadows did talk with Forsyth.

However, once investigators turned up illegal drugs inside the home, both McCarty and Meadows were placed under arrest. “We found a large amount of crystal meth, schedule II and III as well as drug paraphernalia,” said Wallen.

Meadows, 29, of La Follette was arrested for the fourth time according to jail records. Her last arrest was in January. The 32-year old McCarty of Jacksboro recorded his 12th arrest based on jail records. Today’s arrest comes after McCarty was arrested in July.
