TOP PHOTO: A multi-vehicle crash occurred Sunday afternoon just before 4pm on I-75.

This is the SUV that rolled onto its top early Sunday afternoon on I-75.

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – A Ford Explorer with an Ohio drive out tag veered off I-75 just before 1pm Sunday afternoon. According to the initial 911 call, the red SUV drove through a wooded section on the side of the interstate and flipped on its top.

The accident happened on the southbound side of I-75 near Mile Marker 136.
A person was pinned in the wreckage and was freed through this back door window, according to officials.

One person was transported to the La Follette Medical Center to be treated.

All involved in this mishap were uninjured.

About four hours later, there was a multi-vehicle wreck also on the southbound side of I-75. This non-injury accident shutdown the southbound lanes around Mile Marker 138. Officials say it involved a tractor trailer and five or six automobiles. Emergency personnel traveled north in the southbound lanes to gain access to the wreck. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/27/2021-6AM)
