Wlaf1450LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – At last check, the locally based medical helicopter, Lifestar, made three runs during the day on Monday.
On separate runs, two stroke victims were airlifted to hospitals in Knoxville on Monday.
A third patient was injured in a tree cutting accident. According to central dispatch, a 19-year- old man suffered serious head injuries, despite wearing a hard hat, when a large part of a tree landed on his head. The mishap occurred on Douglas Branch Lane in the Stinking Creek community. The med chopper landed near the scene of the accident. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/05/2021-6AM)
