LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Rinda Beach (above photo) is the featured artist on WLAF for the Postmark LaFollette Homemade Artshine Arts and Crafts Co-op.

She is a self-published author of children’s books. Beach has three published books: Neil Armstrong’s Wind Tunnel Dream for children in grades second through fifth, Lake Fun for You and Me for children in grades first through fourth, and Zoe’s Scavenger Hunt Fun for children in grades kindergarten through third. Lake Fun and Zoe’s Scavenger Hunt are part story and part journal.

She is a firm believer that “Writers have to be critiqued,” and she always credits her critique partners in her books. Beach is a retired second grade teacher who taught for thirty-three years and still teaches through school visits where she talks to kids about the importance of editing when writing.

  2. Delighted to learn that WLAF will be featuring local artist, we are blessed with talented people. My favourite author, from La Follette, Douglas Joe Guy. Mr. Guy has published 22 books, which are sold on Amazon under the heading of La Follette Chronicles. His writing is outstanding and love the way he incorporates names of local businesses in the La Follette area in his fictional stories.
    Looking forward to future WLAF artist series.
