James Kenneth Harrill, Sr, born on November 11, 1932 in the Gudger Community in Monroe County, passed away peacefully at his home November 4, 2021 to join his wife of 62 years, Josephine Richesin Harrill, that preceded him, in residence in their heavenly home.   The last remaining survivor of 4 sons born to Hugh Linder and Lena Mae McInturff Harrill. 

In 1953 Kenneth was a Union Carpenter on the Savannah River Project in South Carolina when drafted into the USA Army.  Kenneth was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving the Medic AirVac 82nd Airborne.  After his military service Kenneth attended Hiwassee college on the GI Bill, later to retire from CSX Transportation.  Kenneth was a patriot, loved God, Family and Country.  Kenneth was proud being a Kentucky Colonel even more proud when his grandson became one as well.   

Kenneth is survived by loving son and caregiver, JK Harrill and wife Teresa

Grandchildren that he loved dearly, Lutricia Harrill of Knoxville, James Matheu and Sarah Rose Harrill, of Atlanta.  Great Grandchildren, Kellee Lynne Isbill of Knoxville, and Madison Paige Harris of Cookeville.

A graveside service will be held at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
