JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- Wayne Arnold Moore has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after shooting at police.

In Nov. 2017, police were notified that a man, later identified as Moore, was shooting at passing vehicles on Elk Main Street in Pioneer, according to an arrest warrant filed by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

When officers with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office responded, Moore allegedly shot at them as well. Riding a four wheeler, Moore evaded the officers while still firing his .45 caliber handgun.

Officers soon discovered Moore hiding in an abandoned house.

Last week, Moore pleaded guilty to four counts of attempted second degree murder, four counts of employing a firearm in the commission of a felony, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of being a felon in possession of a handgun, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless endangerment.

He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his crimes. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 11/11/2021- 6AM)
