CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – A violation of the muffler law ends with possession charges and jail time. A black SUV was traveling on Hwy 116 near the Red Roof Inn when Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Timothy Powers noticed the vehicle was in violation of the muffler law.

While Powers was talking to the driver, he allegedly noticed a glass pipe commonly used to smoke Meth laying in plain view in the center console, according to the sheriff’s report. The driver of the SUV, Christy Lynn Wilson, and a passenger stated they didn’t think there was anything else in the vehicle and gave consent for the vehicle to be searched.

A search of the SUV revealed many items that are commonly used in the sell or delivery of illegal drugs. There were several hundred small red and multiple hundred small blue resale baggies found along with a lot of glass pipes that had burnt residue on them.

Wilson had a capias bench warrant and was transported to jail. She was asked multiple times if she had anything illegal on her before getting to the jail, and she replied she did not. When she arrived at the jail and was being searched, a large clear baggie containing a crystal like substance believed to be Meth was found.

Wilson, 40, 1117 South Hwy 25W, LaFollette was charged with capias/bench warrant, mfg/del/sell controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and intro of contraband into a penal facility. According to jail records, this was Wilson’s 12th arrest. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/19/2021-6AM)
