This is the commemorative Shop-With-A-Cop patch designed again this year by law enforcement veteran Darryl Chapman an officer with the La Follette Police Department.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – The La Follette Police Department is proud to once again show its support to the Shop-With-A-Cop Program.

Shop-With-A-Cop began in 1998 and was spearheaded at that time by the Jacksboro Police Department and now retired Jacksboro Chief of Police Danny Chapman. This annual program aids in giving local youth a joyous Christmas each year. There are many different types of sponsorship’s which assist financially with Shop-With-A-Cop. These include road drives, chili and other food cookoffs and, of course, the local golf tournament held each year at The Greens at Deerfield.

For a second straight year, the La Follette Police Department has developed a commemorative police patch recognizing Shop-With-A-Cop. This patch is the second of many as the plan to make a different commemorative patch every year continues. It will be a terrific collector’s item for patch collectors. These patches are available to anyone wishing to make a donation of $20 or more to Shop-With-A- Cop program. That’s while supplies last. These patches are available at the La Follette Police Department.

La Follette Chief of Police Bill Roehl said, “A special thank you goes out to LPD Officer Darryl Chapman for this terrific idea. Many local children will benefit because of it.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/01/2021-6AM)
