Mrs. Thelma Lawson Jordan age 86 of Caryville passed away at her home December 3, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 9, 1935 in Campbell County Tennessee, the daughter of the late James (Bud) and Mary Ludie Lawson. Thelma is preceded in death by her husband Ace (Pete) Jordan, a great-grandson Aaron James Goldschmidt, parents James and Mary Ludie Lawson, and brother Don Lawson. She was of the Baptist Faith and became a Christian at an early age. Thelma was known for her decorative skills, her love for gardening, and her sewing abilities. She loved spending time with her family and caring for her dog “Peppy”.

Daughters: Vicke (Jim) Melvin, Diana (Mark) Mills, and Donna (Kim) Bermuda

Son: Roger Jordan

Brothers: Ben Lawson, Eugene (Carlene) Lawson, John T (Pauline) Lawson, and Lowell (Nola) Lawson

Sisters: Mary Ann (DeWayne) Bittinger, Wilma (Dan) Watson

11 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren

Along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives, and friends.

The family would like to thank her caregivers and the hospice staff who participated in her care for several weeks. Also a special thanks to her friend and neighbor Brenda Shears for her support and long chats on the front porch.

Family and friends will meet 1 PM Monday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Campbell Memorial Gardens for 2 PM Interment. Eugene Lawson and J. Tom Lawson officiating.
