Jimmy “Jim” Allan Deel, age 77, of LaFollette, TN, passed away, Wednesday December 8, 2021 at North Knoxville Medical Center.  He was born in Harmon, Virginia, on July 23, 1944, to the late Ethel “Marie” (Schrader) and Reed S. Deel.  During his 37 year career, he worked for Miami Paper  and Dayton Power & Light.  He was a Vietnam Army Veteran serving with the  173rd Airborne Brigade; and was a recipient of a double Purple Heart and Bronze Star  Medal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bill Deel; and his father-in-law, Floyd Wagers. 

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sherry (Wagers) Deel; his children, Sonya (James) Pickett, Jim (Kristin) Deel, Jason Deel, David (Laura) Deel, Flo (Dave) Schwanz and Lisa Stork; 12 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Della Loraine Lewis and Joyce (Roger) Davis; his mother-in-law, Mary Wagers; a sister-in-law, Roberta Deel; numerous nieces and nephews;  and several other brothers and sisters-in-law. 

The family will receive friends 12 – 2 p.m. (2 hours prior to the Service), Monday December 13, 2021, at the Dalton Funeral Home, 6900 Weaver Road, Germantown, OH 45327, where the Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m., with Pastor Danny Hess officiating.  Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Miamisburg.
