LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Julie Van Arsdale is the featured artist for the Postmark LaFollette Homemade Artshine Arts and Crafts Co-op and WLAF. Julie makes art from recycled wine corks as well as paintings done with watercolors. She started crafting with wine corks five years ago with her nine friends who refer to themselves as the “Corky Cougars.”

She makes wreaths, Christmas trees, pumpkins, and snowmen out of wine and champagne corks. She is inspired by her curiosity and wants to be unique. What started out as a fun activity with friends has turned into an art form. Julie says she crafts mostly for fun and originally only gave her art away as gifts.

Julie’s repertoire is always growing, and she is always looking into new projects so you can expect new things from her moving forward.
