JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – On Thursday, United Cumberland Bank made a $2,500 investment in the Caryville Cares Playground.

The initiative to bring an inclusive playground to Campbell County was started nearly a year ago, with a group of young people coming together to tackle one of the community’s largest projects ever.  Currently, children with disabilities have no place to safely play.

Playground committee member Patrick Pebley said “United Cumberland Bank has really stepped up to help make this dream a reality.  From supporting us with this project to being involved with nearly every non-profit in the area, it’s easy to see why they were named the 2021 Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year.  We can only make this dream a reality if people continue to step us and help invest in our future.”

To learn more about the project, visit “Caryville Cares Playground” on Facebook.  The group is actively fundraising through a GoFundMe campaign, has a fundraising dinner planned for March 12, 2022, and is working out the final details for a Christian comedy show.
