Wlaf1450SEVIERVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell’s Nate Walden rang up 13 first half points on day two of three of the Sevier County Winterfest Shootout. However, he went scoreless in the second half. That is until crunch time. That’s when he nailed the game winner, a three, with ten-seconds to play. Campbell nipped the host Sevier Smoky Bears 56-55 to improve to 5 & 7 on the season winning its second straight game.
It was a day when every point had to count, and Walden’s 16 along with Spencer Boshears 16 points were tops for CCHC. John Long added blocked shots and 14 points to go along with four points each from Zac Brady and Devin Jones. Jack Leach tallied two while Bryson Horton and Will Lester played and did not score.
On the final day of action in the Winterfest Shootout, Campbell tangles with the Section (Alabama) Lions in a 3:30pm start time at Sevier County High School.
