Delmas Powers, age 84 of the Stinking Creek Community

Mr. Delmas Powers, age 84 of the Stinking Creek Community passed away Saturday, January 8, 2021.  He was a former coal miner.  Delmas enjoyed being in the mountains, ginseng hunting, riding four wheelers, fishing, and playing his dobro.  Preceded in death Wife, Mrs. Janice Ethel Huddleston Powers in October 2020, Parents, Daniel Powers and Maggie Broyles Powers, Brothers and Sisters, Ruth Thomas, Doris Ridenour, Lonzo, Eugene, Chet, Harold, and Vennis Powers.

Survivors:  Son, Darrell Powers, and wife, Becky; Daughter, Karen Foster and husband, Jeff; Son Darren Powers and wife, Jennifer; Daughter, Katrena Reynolds and husband, Mark; Grandchildren, Deanna Powers, Jessi Foster, Cody Foster, Moriah Foster, Darian Powers, Noah Powers, Brantley, Braylen, and Kinsley Reynolds; Great-Grandchildren, Carter and Maggie Ayers; Brothers and Sisters; R. L. Powers, Glen Powers, Kathy Wilson, and Clara Hunter.  Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Family and friends will meet Thursday, January 13, 2022,  1:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Broyles Cemetery for 2:00 P.M. Graveside Services with Rev. Marvin Seibers and Rev. Bill Collins officiating. 

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Delmas’s honor: c/o Walters Funeral Home, 509 East Central Ave., LaFollette, TN 37766.
