Black ice creating hazardous driving conditions

It was a mighty alarming site driving upon this overturned big TDOT truck. The driver escaped injury.

TOP PHOTO: A TDOT salt/plow truck overturned in the 2am hour Monday on West Central Avenue at 13th Street between E.E. Hill & Son Insurance and Martin Wilson Funeral Home. The road has since been reopened.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Black ice and brisk conditions are challenges both in driving and keeping yourself safe and warm on this Monday morning.

The driver of this TDOT salt/plow truck was not injured.

A TDOT wheel loader and dump trucks arrived on the scene just before 4am to begin the clean up.

Expect a few snow flurries with light additional snow accumulation, cold winds and temperatures at or below freezing all day. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/17/2022-3AM)
