LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Campbell County Citizens…. I Robert Higginbotham am proud to announce that I am running for Campbell County Mayor. Over the last 25 years, I have been honored to serve our community as a Police Officer, Health Care Worker, Business Owner, Campbell County Youth Baseball Coach, and your 1st District County Commissioner.

Donnie Poston (left) was selected by Robert Higginbotham as his running mate as deputy mayor.

Over the last year, I have been in much thought and Prayer about making this decision. During this time, I have been speaking with Donnie Poston who by far is one of the most remarkable men in our County, having spent over 30 years in Public Education, 9 years as Principal of the Christian Academy, and 4 years as Director of Schools. I have chosen Donnie to be my running mate as Deputy Mayor because he has consistently served the children of Campbell County with honesty and integrity.

I have been honored to be able to serve each citizen of our county, especially during my tenure as County Commissioner. During my tenure as County Commissioner, the County Commission has worked diligently to improve our county roads, improve convenience center operations, and assisted the Board of Education in placing POST certified SRO’s in our schools. Currently, the Commission is working on multiple projects to provide citizens with basic necessities such as waterlines, broadband, and good roadways.

As you can see, various projects are still underway. We all understand we still have a lot of work to do.  I know for certain that our county has so much more potential, and a huge opportunity that I don’t want to see fade away.

I ask for your continuing support during this campaign to be your next County Mayor!!!

!!!Vote Higginbotham–Dedicated, Determined, Dependable!!! (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/18/2022-6AM-PHOTOS SUBMITTED)
