John Haddix is this week’s featured artist over WLAF

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – John Haddix is the featured artist for the Postmark LaFollette Homemade Artshine Arts and Crafts Co-op and WLAF. Haddix is a 60- year- old painter who works mainly in watercolors with some acrylic pieces.

He prefers to paint landscapes, nature, and ocean scenes. He began painting a little over a year ago to help him cope with some health problems. Even though Haddix is right-handed he does all his paintings with his left hand. His right hand has low motor function caused by a metal plate in his back. He says he gets inspiration from other artists such as Bob Ross; he finds painting calming.

The public can view his paintings at Postmark LaFollette’s Homemade Artshine Arts and Crafts Co-op. The Co-op is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10-2 located at 119 S. Tennessee Avenue in downtown LaFollette. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/25/2022-6AM)
