Doris Sharp’s last day at Community Trust Bank is today.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Doris Cordell Sharp is retiring on today after more than 30 years at Community Trust Bank and 50 years in the banking industry total.  

Sharp began her career in banking in 1972 working at People’s Bank of the South. She worked there until 1979.

“I had my daughter Lori in August of that year and took a few years off until she started school,” Sharp said. Afterwards she came back and continued to work for People’s Bank of the South until 1991.

“At that time, after talking with Loretta Cordell and Marvin Minton, I had the opportunity to work for First National Bank, which is now Community Trust Bank,” Sharp said. She has worked there for 30 and a half years. 

Upon retirement, Sharp said she is looking forward to having more time to relax and spend with her family and grandchildren. 

Doris is married to Micky Sharp. They have one daughter Lori Johnson and two special granddaughters Jenna and Julie. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/28/2022-6AM)

  2. Doris is one of the kindest people that I have ever met.
    She always went out of her way to help me and my Dad with banking issues.
    She will be greatly missed by all those that she helped and by Community Trust.
    Enjoy your retirement. You certainly earned it.
