JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Jacksboro Eagles advanced to the second round of the regional tournament on Saturday as did the Lady Eagles after two big wins. However, before the regions began, the Eagles won the district tournament championship on Thursday. A celebration honoring the Eagles title is set for this afternoon at 1:30pm at the Jacksboro Middle School.

Saturday morning, the Lady Eagles defeated the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights at Rogersville, Cherokee High School, 34-26 in the opening round of the TMSAA Regional Tournament. The Lady Eagles face the Robertsville Rams this afternoon at 4:45pm at Anderson High.

It wasn’t until Saturday night when the Eagles took to the court at Cherokee High to battle the Happy Valley Warriors. JMS advances after the 45 to 40 win. The Eagles take on the Norris Senators Wednesday at Anderson High in a 4:45pm start time. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/31/2022-6AM)
