James Marion (Fireball) Smith, age 75, of Jacksboro passed away Monday, February 7, 2022.  He was a retired co-owner of Boshears Paving, enjoyed fishing and hunting and a new Christian having been saved at his home recently.  Preceded in death by Parents: Ed Smith and Blanch Goins Smith, Brother: Clyde Smith, Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law Martha and Bill Clouse, Sister-in-Law: Hazel McGhee.

Wife of 51 years Helen Clouse Smith

Daughter: Missy Smith Poston and Zack York

Sons: Michael and Helena Smith, Preston Smith, Matthew and Leah Smith

Brother: Carl Lee and Ernestine Smith

Grandchildren: Austin Smith, Natalie and Mattie Smith

Several nieces and nephews and a host of fishing friends

Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel. Family and friends will meet Thursday 10:30 AM at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Powell Valley Cemetery for 11 AM Interment.
