RUTLEDGE, TN (WLAF) – It’s the home to a couple of former Tennessee Vols. First there was the Rutledge Rifle, the late A.W. Davis, and more recently, Skylar McBee, who hailed from Grainger County and starred for the Vols in basketball. Campbell is 17 & 8 with a final district worksheet of 6 & 4 entering tonight’s game at Rutledge against the Grainger Lady Grizzlies. Grainger visited Brown Gym on December 3 and fell to the Lady Cougars 41-39. The Cougars lost in overtime that night to the Grizzlies 85-78. Campbell is 13 & 11 in all games with a like final district record of 6 & 4.

The Lady Grizzlies are ranked 9th in the state, are riding an 11-game winning streak and are 23 & 4 overall with a 6 & 0 district ledger. The only loss outside the Andrew Johnson Bank Ladies Classic at Hal Henard Gym at Greeneville was to Campbell.

Ranked 6th in the state are the Grizzlies who sport a won-loss mark of 21 and 5. Grainger is 6 & 1 with one district game to go.
