Three Campbell Countians lost their lives as they slept when fire swept through their mobile home on Wednesday morning.

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Three Campbell Countians perished on Wednesday morning when their single-wide mobile home caught fire not long after 5am.

“The home was fully involved when our units arrived,” said Caryville Fire Chief Eddie Hatmaker. The home, located on Spruce Lane at Park Road near Cove Lake State Park, along with the family’s car was totally destroyed.

The call came in to Central Dispatch at 5:21am with the Caryville Fire Department responding soon followed with assistance from the Jacksboro and La Follette Fire Departments. Campbell County EMS was also on the scene.

Firefighters were called out in the 5am hour Wednesday.
