JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Eagle Bluff Resort Hotel was once located near the base of the Eagle Bluff Rock in Jacksboro.  The building was built in 1914 and lasted until December 1967.

Although it wasn’t a Hotel the entire time. During its last few years, it was used for apartments.

For years people come from all over the country to drink the beneficial water from the seven different springs found on the grounds of the hotel. It was said that each spring brought forth a different type of mineral water. Hotel guests would drink the water for the medical value prescribed for them.

After the building was gone, a part of the grounds was used as the location of the Old Smokey outdoor theater for several seasons.

Today. the area is filled with beautiful homes. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/17/2022-6AM)
