Jerry Owens, age 73, of Jacksboro passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022.  He was a member of Cherry Bottom Baptist Church and Treasurer for 27 years and retired from

Y-12 Plant after 41 years of service.  Preceded in death by Parents: Herbert and Ruth Marcum Owens and Brother: Harley Owens.

Survived by:

Wife: Ruth Black Owens

Daughter: Lisa Heatherly

Sons: Bobby Richardson and Randy Richardson

Grandchildren: Jessica Bowman, Daniel Heatherly, Natalee Heatherly, Marriah Heatherly, Brandon Richardson and Lillian Richardson

Great-Grandchildren: 4

Brothers: Everett and James Owens

Sister: Jewel Hutson

Several nieces and nephews

Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday, March 4, 2022, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7 PM Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. J. J. Patterson and Rev. Lonnie Welden officiating.  Family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM Saturday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Powell Valley Cemetery for 11 AM Interment.
