LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck and his crew have just finished clearing a dead tree off of Loop Road near the Ford Town Baptist Church. The road is now back open after being closed for the better part of an hour between McNeely Drive and Meredith Road.

Just after 6:30am, a dead tree fell across Loop Road blocking both lanes. The tree fell between the Loop Road-Demory Road split and the Ford Town Baptist Church.

The tree fell from the La Follette side of Loop Road.

The Campbell County Highway Department is clearing the scene. In the meantime, detours by way of McNeely Drive and Meredith Road are your way around the closure. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/03/2022-7AM)
