JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – When Jeremiah Eric Chavis ventured from his Valley View area home to Jacksboro little did he know his trip would net him some jail time.

Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Dakota Williams was patrolling in the vicinity of Walmart last Thursday evening when he came across the 39-year old Chavis on Mountain Perkins Lane. Deputy Williams confirmed that Chavis had an active violation of probation out of General Sessions Court and placed Chavis under arrest.

Chavis, of 121 J. Everette Lane, La Follette, is free this morning on a $700 cash bond. He’s due in court on April 12 and was arrested for the fifth time according to Campbell County Jail records. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/10/2022-6AM)
