Lottie Mae (Douglas) Stanfill, age 89, of the Black Oak Community of Whitley County, Kentucky, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 8, 2022, at Beech Tree Manor Post Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Jellico, Tennessee.

She was born on December 23, 1932, to the late Minton Douglas and Bertha Jeanette (Roberts) Douglas in Jellico, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Stanfill; grandson, “Little Ronnie” Coyt, Jr.; sister, Mary Lou Bowser; two brothers, Delbert Douglas and Don Douglas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James Siler Stanfill and Laura (Morgan) Stanfill.

She is survived by her son, Darell Buis, and wife, Sylvia, of Harrison, Ohio; three daughters, Pamela Buis, of Williamsburg, KY, Vicki (Buis) Gatts, and husband, Wayne, of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and Laura (Moreland) Marsh, of Seminole, Florida; seven grandchildren, Darell Buis, Jr., Deana Buis, Regina Coyt, Samantha Smith, Chris O’Connor, and wife, Ashley, Nick O’Connor, and Jordan O’Connor; six great-grandchildren, Daniel Barnett, Brendon Buis, Destiny Kinder, Payton Kinder, Alexsis Hall, and Sophie Hall; and two great-great grandchildren, Braxton Barnett and Kennedi Kinder.

Lottie is also survived by her sister, Jean Laymance, of Jellico; two brothers, Gary Douglas, and wife, Jessie, of Jellico, and Doyle Douglas, and wife, Casey, of Ohio; brother-in-law, Alonzo “Lonnie” Stanfill, of the Black Oak Community; special cousin, David Stanfill, of La Follette, TN; several nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of friends, neighbors, and other relatives to mourn her passing.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel.  The funeral will follow on Saturday afternoon, March 12, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will immediately follow the funeral service on Saturday afternoon, March 12, 2022, in the Dulling Cemetery located in the Black Oak Community of Whitley County, KY.
