This unit with the Campbell County Highway Department flipped on its top around 4:30am Saturday after the driver swerved to keep from hitting an oncoming vehicle head on.

NEWCOMB, TN (WLAF) – A Campbell County Highway Department truck driver avoided serious injury when he wrecked early on Saturday morning trying to avoid hitting another vehicle head-on. As a result the Highway Department truck ran off Creekmore Housley Drive and flipped on its top at 4:30am.

The driver was assisted by the Jellico Rescue Squad. He was transported to the hospital by the Campbell County Ambulance Service to be evaluated. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/12/2022-7:30AM)
